SeafarerHelp, the confidential assistance service for seafarers and their families, has launched a new website aimed at improving usability.
Hosted by the International Seafarers’ Welfare and Assistance Network (ISWAN) and supported by the ITF Seafarers’ Trust, SeafarerHelp is a free-to-use service available to seafarers 24/7, 365 days, worldwide. Available in 9 languages, SeafarerHelp can be accessed via telephone, email, SMS, live-chat or letter.
Seafarers are also able to access general information regarding unpaid wages, nearest Seafarer Centres, repatriation, contractual issues, bullying and harrassment and help in seeking employment.
