' A man’s propensity to greatness truly lies in his ability to adapt to whatever situation he finds himself in.

With the looming threat on our day-to-day lives due to the pandemic, seafarers are finding it even harder to cope up with the constantly changing policies set by religious and political governing bodies.

We may be hardened by the difficulties we were able to overcome, but at the end of the day, we cannot set aside the facts that we are still human.

Such is the reality that we are facing today, but Bosun Maldo chose to stay and push through, all for the sake of a decent life for his family.

In some ways, he can be a representation of us who are willing to take chances, sailing thousands of miles away from home, for it to remain being called a home. Along with those aspirations, sacrifices need to be made.

Seafarers tend to disassociate themselves with the word vulnerable though they are nothing short of it because it is what makes them more human. Vulnerability equates to strength. To be a strong and healthy individual, vulnerability must take place with the people that you have built trust with.

This time, let us assure them that they are being honored for all their sacrifices and that it is okay for them to open up once in a while.'
