' Here in this picture is our ship's training officer. He is in charge of all Cadet activities on board our vessel.

It was our first time onboard and also our first time transiting through Suez. He gave us the knowledge we needed to make it through our 1 year training requirement.

I owe it to him that I was able to confidently act in an officer's position.'
